Who has those rent receipts? I haven't seen one in my whole life!

If you ask your landlord, they can give you a summary or individual receipts.

We get them every month as per HR's requirement for the reimbursement scheme.

Just signed receipts are okay right ? No need to have any other stamps/chops ? How about yearly or quarterly consolidated receipts ?

We've done yearly and they have been accepted.

    Okay, so next hurdle.

Employer is ready to mark rental reimbursement in IR56B with requirement of rent receipts. But landlord is denying to provide rent receipts.

What are my next options apart from continuous requests to landlord?

Tell the landlord you will stop paying rent without receipts.

Is it wise to take such step, given that deposit held is about 6 times amount of tax I would say? My lease is going to expire by January 2019.

Every month rental receipts or other documents that provide evidence of rental payment

While understand that other documents can be referred to rent deposit slips (I deposit cash in bank account as rent payment), I do not have records of all such slips.
