Permanent hair removal for man (facial hair)

I have some real problems with in-grown hairs particularly on my neck and am getting quite sick of it. It prevents me from shaving more than twice per week because I need a lot of time for my neck to heal, but I really need to shave every second day to not look scruffy. I have tried many products and shaving techniques over the years to try and deal with it but in the end the problem is simply that my facial hair curls just right and is thick enough, and my skin is soft enough that it is perfect conditions for in-grown hairs.

So I am thinking about laser and electrolysis to try and do something about it lately. There seems to be alot of marketing propaganda online about both of these so it is hard to tell the facts about them.

So my question to those that might know something about these are:
    - can either technique really be permanent?
    - if not permanent how long do they last?
    - how much does ig cost and how long (how many sessions) would it take?
    - what is the recovery like?
    - does anyone know any good places in hk to get it done?

Thanks for any information you can share, it is greatly appreciated.

Methosb, I had similar problems to you. Luckily my current employer doesn't mind me having a beard so I shave once every couple of weeks and I have very few ingrowing hairs.

When I did shave every day, it was a nightmare. There was only one thing that helped and it was Boots' razor splash. It had a host of ingredients in including salycylic acid. Didn't cure the problem completely but helped much more. Unfortunately they stopped doing it.

Anyway, probably not very helpful. Good luck!

you can call spa beauty par zai on stanley street central

you can IPL your neck.. will dramatically reduce hairs diameter and even cause them to stop growing - its near permanent.. as long as they arent white whiskers..

they can focus on just the problem areas.

I would expect to pay around 1000 per session..

BTW probably need 8 or so sessions..

the first hit will take around 20% of the hairs away

Lucky: I used to be a lot worse but have kind of hit a wall with getting better. Now I use a whole routine using a de razor, pre shave stuff, post shave stuff. Have gone through a lot of different razors, blades, soaps, creams etc and have gotten to a bunch of things that work best for me and try new stuff anytime I need a restock of the other stuff. Now I am just tired of not getting better.

audiot: thanks will check that out.
