    Unhappy decent hairdressers required

Does anyone know a good hairdressers for western hair?
Since moving here I have had a few scary experiences paticularly with the price, the last 3 times I have been to Toni & Guy as I thought it would be a safe bet but the last price of $1900 hkd for cut and highlights was a bit too much to swallow!! Also I have blond hair so I am always wairy that the local salons will not be able to handle the colour.......anyone with any recomendations?
Pls help to rescue my hair!!

I'm also in search for a good but reasonably priced salon/stylist, but for asian hair. Been here 3 weeks now and the humidity is brutal for my hair. Anyone have tips to manage hair in this weather? Also, any recommendations for a stylist would be great!

This shop has " all you can do" package around HK$500

I like Salon Esprit, its reasonable all the stylists are well trained and they have 50% discounts during off-peak.

Avoid Toni And Guy at all costs, they are a total rip-off! One thing i have found in HK is that Blonde means red. You ask for blonde, they make it red and think they've done a great job? Is it just me or is this fact? Perhaps because of the 99% dark heads here, blonde colouring isn't well practiced.

For blond hair I can recommend Paul Gerrard (at the corner of Pottinger Street/Wellington Street), a friend of mine goes there regulary for highlights. Ask for an appointment with Robin (a Brit) or Paul (a French guy). Google their website, they have the whole price list on it.

J2005, all you can do for $500? That's really cheap...maybe a little too cheap? I've walked by the place, so know where you're talking about. Errr...have you tried it out yourself? Or know anyone that has?
