Best Salon for Ladies in Central

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me which is a good place to cut hair and also color in Central? I have been searching for one for months now but still in vain.

    Thanks

    Mrs. JS

Depends on your budget. For shampoo and blow dries I go to 'local' places like the one (forgot the name) that's on Cochrane street under the escalator.

For serious stuff (cut, colouring, perm etc) where it's crucial the hairdresser understands my non-Asian hair then I go to the salon at the Mandarin.

Liam at Toni & Guy for colour. (Keep saying that on here...starting to sound like a stuck record...but he really is good!)

I just got back from a cut at Tony and Guy in Manila (makati) - it was really, really cheap (about HKD100 equivalent including tips) .. is that just Philippine pricing do you think or is it just not that good? (I can't tell - my hair looks ok I guess!). It was a junior stylist.

I think it costs around $6-700 here for a cut, less for a junior stylist. Can't remember for sure as I tend to get cuts in local places - prices for T&G colour AND cut start getting a bit ridiculous - and yeah, I don't rate their cuts too highly. I'm not saying they're bad, it's just not worth paying 9 times more than a local place for a trim.

Thanks for that. I wouldn't pay 600HKD for a haircut - never paid that much in my life! - so was happy with 550 peso's I only get it cut every 6 months so no big deal .. just interested in what people thought of them!
