Just get normal macaroni and cheese, throw it in the bin and start again with processed cheese, loads of e-numbers and overcook it all. Easy!
The cheap Dai Pai Dong's do processed M&C too.

Lammarite, your post 666 is devilish.
It can be titled: How to murder macaroni.

You obviously didn't pick up my sarcasm in the initial post!

Yep, I didn't pick it up. It's just the thread that is shocking for me.
M&C American style is terrible for an Italian, but I have to admit that in China they eat American Macaroni and Pizza and don't know too much about the REAL Macaroni and Pizza.
I can only blame it on Italians, anyway. I haven't seen a cheap real Italian restaurant or pizzeria in HK or China up to now.

You fellows obviously have not tried Crockpot M&C, otherwise there would be no talk of letting someone else make you M&C.

This delicious comforting version of macaroni and cheese cooks in your crockpot - yes, even the pasta

    • 2 eggs
    • 1small can evaporated milk
    • 1-1/2 cups milk
    • 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni pasta
    • 1 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup Blue cheese
    • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 tsp each of butter and olive oil
    • 1diced green capsicum
    • 1/2 diced onion
    • 8 cloves garlic powder

In a large bowl, beat eggs with the fresh and evaporated milks. Stir in UNCOOKED macaroni and all of the shredded cheeses, capsicum, and onion and garlic ; mix well. Pour into 4 quart crockpot. Cover cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Do NOT stir or remove the lid while this dish is cooking. Season to taste. Serves 4-6

Great to come home to after a wet and windy day. The most extreme version of the above I have had used bonito flakes, wakame and miso paste.
Went very well with a little chilled sake
