Forget about restaurants in Soho. They are grossly overpriced.

Try the restaurants in Wanchai and Causeway Bay instead. Much better value for your money. I recently discovered this little gem.

    Wako Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant
3/F., Richmond Plaza, 496 Jaffe Road, Causeway Bay
    Tel: 2117 4268

Agreed- some are overpriced but I think you get good value from some places such as Jaspa's.
Staunton's is also a better place to watch the world go by from than anywhere in Wanchai now that ChuanChuan Bar is closed (except The HandleBar).

I love how someone asks for a review of a Cuban restaurant in SoHo and gets told to go to a Japanese restaurant in Wanchai!

    Thumbs down

Been a couple of times - was disappointing on both occasions.
    - Food: uninspiring selection and only so-so quality
    - Beverages: selection of mojitos, but all of them very weak/watered-down
    - Ambience: decor not bad, but upstairs area has a low ceiling and gets VERY noisy if there is a big/loud group at one table

its ok, nice ambiance, food not outstanding except for the marinated chicken. Good fun to share with friends as i remembered we ordered the plates which was a combo of different types of appetizer size portions of seafood, meat or vege.

Here's a tip go on a Mondays, there is a buy 1 get 1 free deal!
