Stay in Tsim Sha Tsui. Large Indian community there and you'll find veggie restaurants. You can take the Ferry to the Exhibition Center in Wanchai.

Woodlands is a pure Veg resturant.

You will be lucky to find a star hotel with a 500HKD budget. The rooms in Chung King Mansion are said to be decent and are a value for money.

What about the Bridal Tea Houses?

We've met a few people who have stayed in the Aberdeen location. There is a ferry from Hung Hom to Wanchai.

    Hi Supriya
I dont suggest you to stay at Chunking Mansion. Chunking Mansion is crowded with brothels and shop keepers who mob you from left and right. If you are new to the place and is alone you will find it very uncomfortable. Better opt for some decent service apartment/hotel. i suggest you avoid Tsim Tsa Tsui
