i like using this mum and son team: Baking Maniac

the son, when he was 12, LOVED decorating cakes... so they started a small home-business doing it. they do an amazing job and are reasonably priced.

they also have a facebook page with more photos.

I have had a few cakes, especially cup cakes from Sweet Secrets.

They have small retail shops in Causeway Bay and Central, but do the baking in the Central location.

Maxim's Angel Cake is quite lovely. I was very surprised to learn where it was from when it was brought to my daughter's party. Light white sponge with a cream topping and you get caramel crunchy bits in a separate packet to top it with before serving. And the mini Angel is $88 and gives you 4 nice pieces. I won't say the cream topping is 100% dairy cream, but tastes very close to western whipping cream. I'm very fussy about cakes, don't like the "normal" ones found in Maxim's and similar, as they are too bland in flavour and not sweet enough. The Angel is always welcome in my house.
