Trying to find some good Sichuan pickled fish in hk. Had it in North restaurant in Macau and it was delicious. Tried a few in hk and it was mediocre at best. Anyone else enjoy this dish?Where would you suggest?
Thanks

Maybe it wasn't fish?:-)
the one from san xi lou in coda plaza was pretty good. they have 2 branches on the same building, go to the one in level 7. the one in level 22 is a bit tone down, to suit the milder cantonese tongue.
we're big fan of sichuan food and one of the best place we found in HK is the chinese resto in emperor hotel happy valley. i'm not sure if they have the pickled fish though, we usually eat shui zhu yu instead.
if you guys like si chuan food, i can recommend one for u located in hung hom! cheap priced..less than $100 and it can make u FULL! PM me if u are interested. but i forgot if they have pickled fish..
