Restaurant Recommendations (with a romantic view?): Birthday Dinner for GF

    Hi guys,

My GF's bday is coming up soon, and she just wants a simple bday dinner for the 2 of us on her bday (it's going to a wednesday night). So I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on some good restaurants (perhaps with an amazing view of the city?) that they can refer me to?

I'm still new in HK, so not sure what restaurants would be best to check out, so would really appreciate your recos! Thanks so much again!

    What's your budget (with/without drinks)?

And what cuisines does she like?

Wooloomooloo in East TST has a decent view and will not break the bank. Anywhere on the peak will have good views also.

No budget! I guess something not outrageous for the "super elite" - ie: Not $2,000HKD for one steak dinner etc...

we are open to any type of cuisine! no preference in mind!

    Second wooloomooloo

Peak is overrated to be honest, I wouldn't go there.

As others have said , depending on cuisine you can go for

Harlan's in tst. Same building as wooloomooloo
Star of Canton, definitely ask for a window seat.

    Cafe Gray at Upper House.

So does the one in Wan Chai, but when I posted on another thread that I had spent $1,100 on a steak meal for two several posters thought that was extremely expensive, and that is the minimum you will spend at Wooloomooloos.

Really need to know the OP's budget before making recommendations.

You posted budget while I was writing!

You will eat and drink well for that at Wooloos, but if not looking for a steak try Madame Sixty Ate in Wan Chai, well within your budget and great atmosphere and cooking.
