HKJC getting quite a bit of bad press these days.

Someone needs to whip them into shape.

So that's the second case of food poisoning reported there this year.

There was a case in Jan this year with no names being mentioned. After a bit of Googling it came up as " a resteraunt on the 5th floor of the happy valley racecourse"

There is only one on the 5th floor, The Leading Edge.

When were you last there? Before the war ?

Emperor has been there close to 3 decades.
Cosmo has been there a decade (does that count as HV?)

Cwby, no it was in Russell Street
Interesting in november I phond around and most of the big top end hotels had taken oysters off their buffets.

Cant understand the reason they wouldn't or couldn't say could be a transport problem but certainly they tend to schuck them and leave them around open for ages behind the scenes and on buffets many a time even in top end hotels I've seen shrunken dried out oysters on ice. Most batches are tested before export for any problems.

If it aint living its dangerous always do the lemon test just a drop if the mantel (the frilly skirt around the delectable whole) doesn't retract instantly then abandon.

    .
Went to a very nice buffet at Feast in East Hotel, Tai Koo the other night.

Oysters freshly shucked in front of you, and a good selection of deli style meats/hams and pates as starters, main course off a 6 choice menu, the steak and chips were excelant, and sinful selection of puddings inc. creamy trifle and floating islands.
