I've noticed all the beef here is corn fed but I heard that grass fed is much better for you because that's what cows eat naturally. But where to get it in HK?

New Zealand beef is grass fed, and Australian as well I guess. You can it from South Stream Foods and some of the frozen meat places -Sai Kung, Hang Hau etc
Australian meat is not always completely grass fed. Often it is finished with corn for a few months to bulk up the animal. So stick with NZ meat.
Eh? Haven't heard of such cosseted Aussie cattle. Which state would they be from? I 'd guess from southern areas, as cost of getting corn to Qld or NT would surely be uneconomical. At least the artificial hormone bulking allowed in some other countries is (AFAIK) still illegal in Oz.
Brazilian beef is also pasture-fed, as far as I can determine.
This is some very good stuff:

I think they are from Queensland
Its not where they were raised that matters, its whether they went to a feedlot at the end.
I've read that as much as 80% of meat in Aussie supermarkets is now grain fed or finished (they only need to be grain finished for 70 days to qualify as grain fed btw). So unless its labelled grassfed, I assume otherwise.

I've also noticed gourmet / grass fed beef shops in Tai Hang and in the Liberte / Pacifica complex of malls in Lai Chi Kok.
Thanks for the link, HC. Oh, the ignominy of being an Australian in this day and age!
Even looking at wagyu beef is too much for my budget these days, but I have noticed the Australian Angus beef I've tried here has been remarkably flavour-free. Would corn feeding explain that? Even the cat - who normally goes nuts about any food that used to moo, will not touch any of the offcuts from the fancier Aussie beef I've bought.
We'll stick to the cheap stuff then
