Food Angel is collecting moon cakes so you can always donate them if you dislike them. They have a collection "box" in Cityplaza office tower
every year, my family tries to figure a way to get rid of the moon cakes that we receive as gifts. simply can not or should not finish all of them (usually end up with at least 2 to 3 big boxes). we usually just cut 1 cake into 3/4 pieces and eat it as desert after dinner for a few weeks. don't want dump them since it's wasteful. tasty but nothing super special. that stuff is hard to chew if you don't drink tea with it. your entire mouth is sticky.
They collect them even if the box is open and you have a few left. Obviously, they won't take ones that have the wrappers removed so here's a nice way to give back and reduce waste
I like moon cakes, all of them and I will eat them all too
