    amazing island fish market restaurant

please help me to remember... i was taken to an island near HK where there was an open fish market. right next door was an open restaurant of sorts where huge woks commandeered by small chefs would capture fish market purchases by negotiation. moments later you sit at very basic tables and pick through prepared shell fish etc with your hands.

    where was this
amazing place? [and does it still operate?]

    fishy

try Cheung Chau, turning right from ferry pier; or turn left to find rows of seafood restaurants, with smaller stores with seafood for sale (I prefer; like the restaurants here, and don't have things like moray eels, king crabs - which I'd rather were left in the sea).

thanks so much for your information! you guys obviously know HK and surrounds really well!

from the look of A and B, it is probably A... those plastic furnishings look very familiar!

My hair stylist told me about Cheung Chau, pick it and cook it right there.

Not that I'm quite up to that adventure solo. :-)
