We were staying in the Hyatt Centric in North Point in June and they have an absolutely FABULOUS lunch buffet. I had no idea. There was a huge queue at 12 noon waiting for the buffet to open - which was slow because of all the temperature checking/hand santising etc. Masks were worn when collecting food and only allowed off at the table. No touching of food allowed (which is something that should be better enforced normally, finally people taking this part seriously!).

I'm happy to go back to a buffet. Generally I think people with sensible risk tolerances will be.

I did have to chuckle at my local friend telling me that westerners are strange because we eat "uncooked vegetables". He meant salad.

    Branston Pickle and cheddar, though.

Tell them that Japanese people eat essentially raw chicken (torisashi) and fish.
