    It's a very good cookie base (sugar cookie). My taste buds are still working out all that's going on flavor-wise, but I keep eating them - so that's a good sign.

    Could eat with any meal of the day depending on what entree accompanies, but breakfast is usually the meal.

    Winter air is so dry in the house (humidity in the 20s) that apples get dry and wrinkly very quickly. The ones that aren't eaten while crisp and fresh are made into apple chips. Making these makes me feel like a hippie.
