The air fryer has seen some good use on this end. It’s fantastic for a range of things
- Re-crisping leftover fried chicken (385ºF for 5 minutes)
- Cooking a variety of frozen crinkle/steak/waffle fries (365ºF for 11 minutes)
- Cooking frozen fish sticks better than oven baking
When Cornish hens are found on sale, they’re dinner candidates due to the convenience of air frying them:
- Google a recipe for any dry rub (paprika, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, oregano, etc)
- Clean thawed hens & rub oil or butter throughout, coat with the dry rub
- Stuff cavity loosely with any aromatics on-hand (sage, scallions, ginger, basil, etc)
- Air fry at 390ºF for approx 35 minutes
Doing breakfast bacon or sausage links in the air fryer is also simpler and far less messy than pan-frying.

I lashed out and upgraded our busted ass, Kmart air fryer which did an o.k job for the last 4 years and replaced it with a Ninja 10 litre Mega Drawer air fryer, during the black Friday sales.
Have to say, it really has improved our air fryer experience quite measurably. We've cooked a leg of lamb roast in it, multiples of chicken legs, breast and wings in it. Even Chinese crispy pork, it's an absolute corker!

I’m making a Green Papaya Salad tonight, similar to this photo – nice and refreshing with some crunch.

Ten minutes from the refrigerator to the table - all while I had my attention on the entree. Yep, this air fryer gadget has earned it's keep.
