    Whipped up a quick, Portuguese/Macanese/HK coconut chicken curry last night, as it is relatively quick/simple to make with minimal effort and it's always a hit with the kidlets.

    I am lucky that my wife and I can cook pretty much most of our HK favourites, when we get a craving and nail the flavour. My Aussie friend's absolutely love it when we roast/smoke Peking duck, or Char Sui, or my father in laws Cha Chaan Teng sweet and sour pork, which blows the aussie Chinese restaurant version away !

    Photo was a bit rushed, but no toast was burnt during the process and my kids were all smiles, enjoying familiar food flavour from afar, over here.

    Chicken with potatoes and a spicy tomato sauce. Nothing nearly as appetising as what most of you have going on here!

    Steamed tofu and black fungus, and probably a side dish of eggplant, the big Chinese purple ones, not sure how yet. Will just wing it and see, probably something in the wok and spicy.

    Fried veggies and steamed rice.
    I made a version of this for lunch today. Pork, Tofu (to stretch the dish and use less meat), napa cabbage . . . on top of rice. True comfort food.

    tenderloin using Kenji's dry brine, low roast, reverse sear method (https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/...in-recipe.html). A bit of a pain in the ass to make but worth it.

    @tf19

    Looks like your cook on the loin is spot on.
