I haven't dined at the restaurant, but the the bakery makes some of the best bread I've ever eaten.

I guess its so man-power heavy to deliver the 3-star experience and inflation in US/EU is so high so wages have just gone through the roof.

And people have lost their sense of taste and smell during covid?

But seriously ... don't you think that there is a finite demand for this elevated level of dining?

Has anyone seen the Menu yet? The stress of keeping customers happy and maintaining Michelin stars is real.

Hehe, given how everything else luxury wise is bid up, I would have thought that demand is strong. From personal experience we had a period when we went a lot to star restaurants, then we realized we don't have anything to go to for really special occasions if we keep this up. So we stopped going entirely and save it for those special occasions.

Quite a bit of lead - but seems even then they are not shutting down completely, just switching to pop up mode...

it closes for regular service at the end of next year.
