    Pizza Recommendations

Pretty much every place I see that says "Pizza" I will give a try sooner or later. However, I usually leave fairly underwhelmed. Just about the only Pizza I've seen done reasonably authentically in HK is Neopolitan, and while a good Neopolitan is still good pizza, it's generally not my go to style. With that in mind, what are the best places in HK to go for:

    New York
    Neopolitan
    Roman
    Sicilian
    Detroit
    Chicago Deep Dish
    Tavern Style Thin Crust
    Wood/Coal/Brick oven fired pizzas

    ...assuming they exist at all?

I've seen a few attempts at NY style and Detroit style in HK, but nothing to really write home about (sorry Paisano's), and the only attempt I've ever seen at Chicago style was in an awful Korean pizza chain. Anyone know of any examples of good/authentic/distinctive pizza styles being done well in HK?

Use Google Translate, semi-real woodfire + gas oven.
There does not exist 100% woodfire oven, they are wood PLUS gas to get the heat up.

Pizza Project / Fiata for "posh" pizza .. not bad at all.

Not sure if I have found a decent enough Chicago Style place in HK.

Motorino for brick fire over i think.

Mother of Pizza is always decent, mainly because of the size of the things Neopolitan style with New York Toppings. They have a wood stone oven.

Pizza Project is pretty good, but again very Neopolitan. Don't think I've been anywhere that knows how to make a proper thin crust or pizza that isn't floppy in general.
