@Maz1989 so, where did you take your folks to eat in the end?

How did they enjoy their experience/s?

    Do tell :-)

There's also buffet in the other restaurant there that I haven't yet tried.

Since people were suggesting Crystal Jade.. then how abt Shanghai Lao Lao which is like same kind of stuff same pricing but nicer imo.. multiple locations..

Shanghai Lao Lao is good. I also really like Jardin de Jade (the Wan Chai location.. .the Taikoo branch is consistently sub-par) which serves better XLB than even Din Tai Fung IMHO. Ye Shanghai is also great but pricey.

This is far from the truth actually. I remember my PhD supervisor from Mainland came to a conference in my native Minsk, Belarus, and I was instructed to accompany him. I had to take him to a restaurant, and I suggested the best Chinese restaurant in the city - Seasons at the Beijing Hotel, Minsk. He looked at me like I was an idiot and said - do you think that I have flown all these thousands of kilometers to go eat Chinese food?? Take me to try your freaking Belarusian cuisine!! So I led him to eat all sorts of draniki, zeppeliny, vereshchaka and machanka. He was soo happy. We also drank a bottle of krambambula on top.

The main thing is you enjoyed it all with your family. Experiences actually matter and help craft a well lived life. Nice one :-)
