    Best Indonesian food in HK

Looking for some recommendations, just came back from Jakarta and had some great food. Although I’ve realised I’ve only been to one in HK and it was on Sugar street..can’t remember the name though

any recommendations on where to get the best Nasi Goreng, Soto betawi, satay, nasi padang etc? Thanks all

I’ve never gone wrong with the plethora of Indonesian restaurants in and around Sugar St. My favourite is Pandan Leaf for variety and flavour but the best Nasi Goreng I’ve had I actually bought of helpers in the high walk above MK station. Above MK road to be precise.

Hire an Indonesian helper who can cook.

    sounds good

from memory Kampoeng I’ve walked into a couple of times but both times staff seem to ignore you and I just walked out

Sedap Gurih (googled the name as I could tell rem) which is opposite, on the corner is pretty decent. I think I had the Nasi Padang- this was years ago so it’s vaguely remembered. I also recall that it’s quite comfortable, the type of place that you don’t have to share tables or cramped at all

I second Sedap Gurih for the Nasi Campur, used to go there once a week when I was working in cwb. They also have teh botol in glass bottles sometimes!!!
