If the burger place in Fortress Hill is on the same street as the Vietnamese sandwich place, I'm not going near it. Damn near cracked a tooth on a big bone chip in one of the patties!

Nope it's on Whitfield by the garages... Closes early though. As it caters to the neighbouring businesses.
Wow Burger in Wan Chai does nice small sized burgers.
BLT Burger in TST is nice and they have good milkshakes, but they damn expensive.
I used to go to Burgeroom a fair bit but they started making them very dry so never go there anymore.
Oh I'm so glad this thread is still ongoing. So I'm craving for hot dogs. What's the verdict? Archie B's? How's Top Dog at the Central ferry?
Coming from a former Texas resident:
Triple-O's and Freshness are still fast food quality burgers, although better than McDirtys, but not by too much. Mos Burger is too far up the japanese scale....
Shake em Buns is pretty decent, especially for semi-late or late night eats. Gets a bit greasy at times.
GBU is a definite go to, but the burgers are a bit small, and quite expensive. (Groupon runs specials on these a lot of times; that would make it worth going to more often)
My vote goes to Burgeroom in CWB, currently. Great selection of toppings, and their patties are full sized and flavorful. Curly fries are the best ive had in HK.
McSorleys & Fatts Place in TST get an honorable mention. Not the greatest, but never a let down. The booze selection at both places doesnt hurt, either.
I need to try this BigBite place...it sounds like a true contender.
Anybody know what happened to Archie B's? It was there last week but I passed by yesterday to find it closed and gutted, will they be back? Or are they just another Soho rental increase victim like Hidden Vine and Spot Bar.
The Peak Cafe, on the midlevels escalator actually has great burgers, similiar to ones I ate back in NY. I have given up on NY pizza here- paisano's is acceptable if im really craving pizza, but there is enough great local food here that that doesn't happen often. It's expensive, but Isola in the IFC has pretty good thin crust pizza.
GBU do good burgers, but not cheap. Twice the price of McD's but arguably twice as good. Also, I like the burger at Dan Ryan's (Pacific Place), you can get some money off if you show them your cinema tickets (from the AMC, just opposite).
I just visited the Kraze Burger in ISquare Mall (6F, shop 602 i think) for the Halloween special burger--and that was absolutely delicious! I am from the USA and love made from scratch fresh burgers, and that was definitely what I needed! Strongly recommended!
