If you have a 2 for 1 on Mondays card then I would recommend The Orange Tree on a Monday evening. Their 8oz tenderloin is $295 including saute potatoes and veg. With 3 of you you could actually get a fourth steak at no extra charge if you're hungry, or get 4 * 6oz for a bit less.

I was impressed with the quality of the tenderloin when I went there last week, and two starters, two steaks and a decent bottle of wine (the Malbec) came to a few dollars over $1000 including service. Without the wine it would have been under $600, and without the starters it would have been $295 in total!

Morton's. But budget up to HK$2000 per head for 3 courses including drinks.

Maybe when I make tons of money, I won't have to worry about price. But I'm just a student taking his parents out to dinner.

Yes, W's, that would almost meet the OP's criteria - the cheapest steak meal for dinner is HK$208 for a 6oz ribeye, including soup or a salad to start, and fries with the steak. It's been a long time since I went (to the old location) but I do remember it as being reasonable value.

There are some decent looking wines on the wine list too. I'd go for the Chateau Bouscasse Madiran.

Pacific Grill in Soho is always reliable for a good slab of meat. Not a purist's idea of a steakhouse, but portions are fair and the price is right.

I also prefer Pacific to W's entrecote.
