There is also Bodage Riojana on Smithfield (G/F Smithfield Court, 83 Smithfield).

Percy's-on Catchick Street (along the tram line, around the corner from Davis Street) is pretty good for western take-out.

Decent places: La Bagette (Med), Bodage (Tapas), Clay Pot, the new hot pot place on Forbes is OK but a little pricey for just 2 people. The seafood place on the harbour front is OK. There's a Vietnamese place called pho. All depends on taste. If I'm going somewhere special, I'm happy to pay $50 to travel to central. If not, the wonton noodles from boat dwellers on Smithfield is awesome comfort food

Food is so nice but you're jumping up and down having tantrums about it?

Must be the stress of all that spamming

Also, if you fancy a buffet, head to Courtyard Marriott. Is good and cheap too.

all the above and a few more...

a new middle-eastern restaurant has opened just a few doors down from the Clay Oven. It's called Al-Basrah.

a few others that weren't mentioned:
ZigZag Bistro (French-Italian, allegedly) between the bars across the Merton.
Pizza Q: a new pizza place for great pizzas, also on the same line.
KaKiKu: a new Japanese joint,...haven't tried it, but have heard good reviews.

Has anyone mentioned Chill out cuisine 3 or 4 stops from the kennedy town tram terminus. It's a DIY BBQ and hot pot place, it's delicious and fun.
