Never had on a flight to the Philippines. Its something that use to be recognized as happening on most China air flights Including the one that crashed in Hong Kong in 99.

Their planes are newer than PAL; their staff is newer. You say "established is better". I disagree. In Phils, NEW is better. Ie NOT the "old ways of thinking" that are terrible in the Philippines, but the newer businesses that have realised customer service / systems are important.

My experiences are all domestic within Phils, but PAL was mostly late with terrible customer service while Cebu was on time with better service.
Cebu will soon fly to the Middle East. My experience is entirely the opposite from above. I've done both domestic and international.

On my flights to and from little airport in the former east of Germany to Stansted people would always clap on arrival. (This was in the last 5-10 years.) I also found it strange, and, yes, sometimes I DID find it remarkable that the RyanAir flight could come to a stop on that runway -- once even with ice!

Well Philippine aviation, back in favour with the US now. Cebu pacific to Europe could be fun, plenty of time for games!

Er, yes, they have planes with propellers (ATR72s) on some of their domestic routes!
