What's that structure on the peak of Po Toi island?

Just curious, anyone know what's the structure on the peak of Po Toi island?

See the [ame=http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=hong+kong&sll =37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=34.313287,58.447266&ie=UTF8&hq=&hne ar=Hong+Kong&ll=22.172403,114.267415&spn=0.004898, 0.007135&t=h&z=17]white square box[/ame] in the center of the picture. It can actually be seen from afar and may not be white in color.

That website normally gives suggestions on how to reach the various beacons and markers but for this particular one says nothing :-(

Anyone know if there is a way/path to reach it safely ?

You can just walk up the hillside. Why wouldn't it be safe?

I saw no trails marked on the various maps and last time we were in PoToi, I didnt notice any ribbons going off in that direction so I thought I'd be safe and ask.

We normally hike with 3 kids; its best to ask what the trail is like before embarking on unmarked journeys :-)

If you've been up there, I'd appreciate any reviews of the path conditions. We've done the 2 circles on PoToi already and it would be nice to visit the trig point for something different.

If you've been anywhere outside of the marked paths (the 2 circle walks) feel free to share those as well. We can go off and do some exploration on our next trip.

It's like moorland up there, low scrub.

The square thing isn't a trig point afaik, it's a big blank signboard for purposes unknown, I guess related to shipping or air traffic control.
