what are the options for getting out of Guangzhou (or Shenzhen) to Hong Kong late at night, like, past midnight?
I am looking to book domestic China flight to Guangzhou or Shenzhen (there are options) some of which land just before midnight, i'd like to get home in HKG on the same day without overnight stay, will I be able to?
I checked Shenzhen trains, the border closes at midnight. I have no idea where to look up Guangzhou trains/buses.

you can take a taxi to Huang Gan border which is opened 24 hours. There are many shuttle bused provided in the border can take you back HK.
