you should try tripadvisor site. always have comments no matter good or bad. I was in bali this Apr/May, but I stayed in Nusa Dua. nice area over there but a bit pricy. Kuta area is busy to me!

I agree with Maggie. I used TripAdvisor quite a but over the years. Should have all the reviews and information you need there.
