I did like Rod Kingston & Emu
This reminds me of a time back when flying on business on full-fare flexible, endorsable, tickets was not too uncommon. On one such trip to UK, I called BA in London to ask if there'd be a seat for me on the first available flight to Dublin on the 27th morning, and the fellow immediately shot out an explanation that finding a seat on an available flight would of course be a tautology if I were to think about it and asked if I would like to rephrase whatever I wanted to ask. He was right of course, but he should have guessed I wasn't calling for an English lesson but to book a seat. Anyway, I hung up and called Aer Lingus instead and decided to stick to my original wording just to see. In a couple of minutes I was booked and AL earned the revenue. Got me wondering about possible underemployment at BA.
