has anyone ever tried using a hk document of identity (簽證身份書/yellow book) for visa purpose for the application of a retune home visa( 回鄉證) ?

is it possible? I believe that any person who can not apply for hk passport (without giving up their foriegn passport) even after living here for 7 years can apply for this hk document of identity?

    many thanks

But if a person has a foreign passport, they can't have the Document of Identity which is for residents of Hong Kong who are unable obtain a national passport or travel document from any other country.
