I would have to 2nd Angkor Wat - fantastic place for a long weekend.

Berlin is a completely fascinating city with so much relatively recent history.

Turkey is the most amazing country - so much to offer - food, culture, history from many eras and amazing natural wonders plus the beaches and the people and so lovely. A month there only scratches the surface.

Rome - can't beat it for amazing buildings, sculpture, architecture around every corner and like many cities it is all outside and most of it free so you can go to anything anytime - day or night.

If you're looking for wild adventure I'd recommend Alaska. Go for a backpacking or canoe trip during the salmon run & see the grizzlies. You'll be really "out there" in the wild and it'll be an adventure never to forget.

Someone else mentioned Jordon - the lost city of Petra (best known more recently for an appearance in Indiana Jones) should definately go on the list of places that are a must to see.

bli your choices sounded unreal - can you give a bit more info, I would love to check some of them out.
