Macau Galaxy or Venetian ?

Hi Guys,

We are planning to visit Macau with our family of 6 people and wish to stay in either Venetian or Galaxy.

Could you suggest which one is better, I have been to Venetian but not to Galaxy yet. Which one is better in terms of Family friendly / Non-Smoking terms and also cost effective.

We have been to the galaxy but not to the venetian. The Galaxy certainly was impressive. Everything is gold-clad. the "Ambassadors" that stand around are smoking hot. There is a Macallan whisky lounge with an impressive cigar collection. What more do you need?

I inquired from Hotel Reservation Desk and they said Suites are available during September.

I wouldn't go to either. For a nice, non-smoking family getaway, the Westin is much nicer imho. You can always get a cab to the casinos to gawk at the glitz and then go back to the less ostentatious but more relaxed environment on the beach.

I'll second MovingIn07's suggestion for Westin.

If that's no good for you, then stay at the Hard Rock.

the beach and wave pool is the major attraction to the Galaxy. Its so pack this summer hol, you can't stick a pin in. We went in early July was at the pool everyday.
