    Romantic Weekend Getaway?

Hey all..does anyone have good recommendations for a romantic weekend getaway? I'm not looking for something ultra-pricey...just a nice week-end getaway somewhere closeish (Philippines, Thailand, etc...), preferably by the beach/sea. Would love to get some ideas...

Banyan tree in Phuket, Thailand is really great and very romantic, although a bit expensive. It's a spa retreat next to a beach. You get very private villas there as well.

why not a bit closer to home?

The Disneyland Resort, has all the usual bits and you don't have to go near the Park

Elsewhere it would have to be the Chiva Som but hardly suitable for a weekend.

Thanks guys and gals...I will check 'em out. Not sure I'll go the Disneyland route (looking for a bit more romance, ya know), but the others sound cool.

    How about Samui in Thailand?

Try www.sawadee.com if you want to know more about Samui.

    Romantic???

I always think romantic was an internal feeling. If you have the romantic feeling, even at your house, it was very romantic also. Maybe I am wrong.

If you insist beach / sea only bring some romantic feeling for you and need something not pricey. The below link maybe suitable for you. (all at HK)

    www.sai-sha.com

Hope can help you get some romantic feel...

I just like to add....not wanting to sound bitchy...

Sometimes without a budget its really hard to be romantic...okie a simple scenario:

A Man with USD10K Budget wants to romance a gal of his dream..Easy isnt ?

A Man with USD1K Budget...its possible to romance but very tight....

Yes I agree romantic feeling is internal..but no $$$ will cause some hiccups along the way...

Ever thought of going to Sanya.
Only 1hr and 30 min away.
    Stayed at the sheraton,most fantastic.
    Close,cheap,clean,good beach and good weather.
    Food can be improved.
