Malapascua also pristine, for those who dive it is a great location to see thresher sharks and manta rays - though the shark dives leave very early in the morning, ours went at 5am!
    How did you get there?

I'm interested for a long weekend dive trip there.

Cebupacific + bus/Jeepney if you are cheap.
Cebupacific + private car for middle of the road.
CathayPacific + Limo if you want to go in class

I've stayed there so I'll second that, much prettier than Cebu and much more chilled out. Just get the ferry to Tagbilaran and then a short taxi/trike to Pangliao.

Just be warned that Phils is the most dangerous country in the world and you are unlikely to return alive.

We are thinking of going the opposite direction, up north to Vigan.

@ pin : Airphilexpress morning flight to Cebu. 3 hours car ride then 30 mins outrigger boat. We used Thresher Shark Divers for our dives as used them a few years back. Run by a great British couple.
Note re Airphil: return flight leaves early morning so need overnight in mactan when cOming back
Edit: car can take 2.5 hours or up to 4

Badian Island Resort & Spa, Exclusive All-Suites Hotel on a Romantic Island may be worth a look.

It is a long drive from the airport, but a beautiful beach with crystal clear water.

Have you actually been to Badian?
The reviews on Tripadvisor are pretty shocking.
The positive reviews look quite fake.

I've been to Pangliao island too. Excellent for diving I was with Seaquest Dive resort stayed at Oasis resort on Alona Beach.

Friendly place easy to get to know other guests, clean but not much else to do apart from Dive.
