    Thanks!

It is a long drive from the airport, but a beautiful beach with crystal clear water.
I have been to Badian Island a few years back. I would have not recommended it then - seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor it's gone downhill even more.
However, I can highly recommend the Allegre - we have been there twice and loved it.
The Shangri La can be a mixed bag during Chinese New Year due to it's popularity with Hong Kongers. Expect it to be fully booked and expect looooooong queues to get breakfast. We have been there in off season and loved it, I'd avoid to go there in peak season though.

actually you must look at the abaca. it's right next to the hilton and shangri-la but much more value for money. the service is incredible in a very peaceful environment. they arguably also have the best restaurant on the peninsula.

Abaca looks beautiful but it's fully booked.

    Thanks all for the input.

Ah, he has picked a great location! Enjoy!
We dived with Thresher Shark Divers. When we first went to Malapascua 6 years ago there were only a couple of small shops there and we used them. Now they are very well-renowned, for their training and experience. We did a refresher course as it had been so long since we last dived and the Dive Instructor who went through it with us was brilliant and neither Mr SS or myself had any problems.
