going to bejing and shangai tomorrow

hey guys
am going to bejing tomorrow staying there for 5 days and going to shanghai after 4 days. is there much to do ? is it good for new year? is anyone going ?

of course there is plenty to do, but depends what you are looking for. if a special new year experience, then most likely you will be disappointed - chinese new year is the time you want to be in either of these cities - but of course both cities still have their regular attractions. imo, and again this depends on what you are looking to get out of the trip, I would ration more time for beijing. shanghai as a tourist attraction is pretty weak (Oh look, there is the bund, and there is yu yuan gardens, oh and the bund again.")
