Dunno, I've never been there. I used to go to the place on Queensway, but I can't remember the name. However, last time I was there in 2006 I was a bit dismayed by the cellulite. I guess even the peelers are fat now.
If you like taking pictures, then:
- the Distillery is a nice way to spend an afternoon shooting, or
- Pioneer Village in northern Toronto, or
- the town of Unionville (a quaint little town just north of Toronto) (you can do Unionville and Pioneer Village on the same day since they are not that far apart by car) or
- along the lakeshore from Sunnyside to the Humber River (rent a bicycle or roller blade) or for a great view of the city in Greenwood/Queen Street East along the lakeshore looking west towards the city (go in the mornings for backlighting - or a pickup beach volleyball game in the afternoon) or
- the University of Toronto campus has a lot of nice architecture which is also near Queen's Park (Ontario provincial capital) - have lunch in the original Chinatown (Dundas and Spadina) to give yourself a taste of HK and then walk up Spadina to the university and the parliament buildings - grab a few Molsons from the many student pubs along the way (on Harbord Street) - if you still have time, then venture over to Casa Loma
- get up early have brunch along Front Street, then hang out at the CN Tower, Skydome and Hockey Hall of Fame, head over to the business district and City Hall, then onto Queen Street W where all the cool bars are. At night catch a broadway show at the theatres on King Street. All within walking distance. You can even venture underground a lot of the way if it gets too hot. If you want to start ever earlier, then go by ferry to Centre Island, spend a morning on the islands and then come back into downtown Toronto for the CN Tower, etc.

I think the lack of quality is due to 2 factors (and I have thought about this a lot):
1) When younger, I used to enter such establishments a bit more well oiled than now that I'm older. Without the beer glasses, the merchandise does not look as polished.
2) Having spent the last 2 decades or so out here in asia, I've become spoilt for eye candy. Lets face it, there is a very high proportion of females around who are slim, trim and with smooth chinese/asian skin. After getting used to the quality here, whats on offer back home seems much less appealing.

Niagra Falls is good and full of weird hotels.
CN Tower is good if you like heights.
There are good wineries around Toronto. Check them out.
