Can HK ID card holders (non PR) apply for Macau e-channel?

I just read on the government website that HK ID card holders with R symbol can apply for Macau e channel. R means right to land and not right of abode, or not PR.

    Has anyone successfully done this?

Also it says eligible HK residents can apply for mainland China e-channel. Can I do this too provided I have a tourist visa for mainland?

    Thanks!!c

For Macau, only those who have ROA or RTL.

For China, only with a Home Return Permit as that is what is used China side e-Channel.

jaykay is right on Macau - a passport is required to enter there and exit.

You always want a passport in another country/jurisdiction in case of emergencies, etc.

What if the only way back was via China? A bit remote but still possible.
