Dragonair is always late - discuss

At the airport now, waiting for my twice delayed Dragonair flight to Manila.

While Cathay flights to Manila sometimes suffer delays (up to 30 mins often) this one is now 2 hours late.

Pretty much whenever I fly Dragonair it's delayed; and when flying Cathay I typically sit in the lounge listening to announcements and it ALWAYS seem to be Dragonair flights!

What are others experiences? For Manila at least, they are equal priced to Cathay, so if they are not a "cheap, unreliable" airline, what the heck are they?

58% of their arrivals were on time between May 15 and July 15... No great but hardly qualifies as always. Cathay was 72% during the same time period...

Thanks. I would call 58% dreadful. although 72% is not exactly great!

It means if you get a return flight youve got a 66% chance of being delayed on at least one of your flights.

That's terrible if you ask me

Several flights are delayed today due to weather issues. If you have problems with their service, you should try complaining to Dragonair directly as there is not much people on this site can do to help with your situation.

Flew with them twice last week, delayed both times but I always put it down to China's air traffic control (blame the mainlanders )

They are comparatively terrible numbers even considering the season however one could still say a majority of their flights are on time unlike the title suggests.

While some of the delays could be attributed to the destinations they fly, it's worth noting that China Eastern and Southern have significantly better numbers
