Better to go there for two days and do some sightseeing in the region (St Malo is beautiful too)! It's about a 4h drive from Paris.
Some info here on how to get there :
    Mont Saint Michel - Wikitravel
It's super touristy, avoid weekends/public holidays at all cost!!!

Paris/saint-malo needs four hours by car see

You can take the train for saint-malo and rent a car over there, ask at any train station (gare in french). The train Paris/saint-malo is very slow: 3h30.
If you need maps, go in any supermarket or book shops.

You can try Honfleur in only one day, but do not try on saturdays and sundays if you go by car.
see here you could have a terrible traffic jam for 2hours!

You can go there by train+bus
Paris to Trouville/Deauville, ask for a bus to Honfleur. The train travel needs two hours and you can count 30min for the bus. By car, it needs 2 hours see here how to get there

In Saint-Malo you have to try a cake called "kouignamann" little bit warm.. my favorite!!
and in Honfleur, my favourite restaurant is called "La Tortue" (the turtle) located in a street called "rue de l'Homme de Bois" (Wooden Man street) near the old harbour, it is a beautiful place wonderful food for very reasonable price.

These places are really beautiful, with really friendlier people than Paris.

PS: If you go to the Mont-St-Michel, try to get a guide when you visit the Abbaye (big church on the top) it is really interesting.
Important to know: Don't walk in any part of the beatch, there are very dangerous quick sands, some people disapear very quickly on them, and it is impossible to know where they are exactly.
