I was actually planning on doing Mount Kinabalu in March for a better chance of good weather (though I hear it rains all the time). Do you really have to reserve months in advance to go up the mountain? And I was thinking April for Taiwan, which is also high on the wish-list.
I'd never heard of Jeju until now, and it looks fantastic. Nice coastal hikes, and a snowy summit thrown in for good measure! I'm quite tempted by that option, though the direct dragonair flights appear full on convenient days. I don't mind the cold, but what is the weather actually like, normally? Is it "blue-sky" cold, or is it gray and rainy and battered by winds?
North Thailand is another good one, and is "in season", so I'm looking into that as well.
Thanks again! Wish-list getting longer...
