Did you enjoy Bali. I'm thinking of going this summer. Where did you stay?

Try to go to Ubud ^_^
    Been to that area before?
It's an hour away from Kuta, on the mountains.
It's quite cool over there with lots of beautiful rice field. I still remember the last time I was there, took a walk through the rice field, watching the sun went down, SOOO PRETTY!! Very relaxing little town ^_^
There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants and bars with cool live music, art galleries, nice little shops, and Antonio Blanco museum.
You can also buy tickets to watch the traditional Bali dancings there too!
    I personally love Ubud!

You can go to Dreamland too, a nice beach.

I know some other places, but can't remember the names now. I'll get back to you soon!

Oh thank you so much for your reply.
I'm new to this board but delighted by its warmth.

    hi Pix

Kuta is mainly a commercial area also ot foreigners and if you catch a local holiday its packed with locals,,, very crowded and lively,, alot of bars. cafe's and clubs on the side on the main road in kuta right in front of the beach,,,, if your a party person start it off with center stage at hard rock hotel,,, start at nine and goes on till midnight,,, they generally have a very god band playing there all the time,, the crows good too,,, hard rock cafe is alright too,, but Kamasutra is also great,,, embargo if your into techno type of music,,a little way from kuta maybe 5 mins by taxi,,, padi's bar is also good for after hours they genarally have a foam party which starts around 2am,,, their paddi's cocktail is lethal if you wanna try that...
like ERNA said,, Ubud is gorgeous,,, known to be a yoga city,,, a very relaxing and spiritual place,,, the paddy fields and the village life and scenory is quite beautiful
the street markets are also nice,,,, try stayign at the ubud village a magnificiant place a little pricy,,, if not there are many other hotels to choose from also.
bali by its self is very cheap,, get a massage a balinese one,,, or a coin massage ,,, heals pretty much everything,,,

    regards
