    cheers, PDLM.

BTW mine were also based on actual transactions using OANDA as a source for the internbank rate.

when i used citi-maxisave for overseas withdrawal from a citi atm machine, i usually get quite decent rates and do not pay any fees. so i think its fairly ok to believe the no fees claim.

Anyone with a Mastercard, would like to see what the spread is with that, because I know that Visa charge a 1% conversion fee regardless of the card.

does anyone have a link to a page about the maxisave account? from what i read on the citibank hk page, it looked like you could only write checks to get money out, and only in $1000 increments.

hope I'm missing something, i could really use an account like this.

    Hi

going to raise this one again.

Also would like more info on the Maxisave account.

Also, anyone had any luck with Mastercard to see how they compare.

I am using a US credit card and keep getting charged an international fee for each purchase. I have an HSBC account but they won't let me get a credit card because my employment contract is only 1 year. Any suggestions on how I can get a card so I don;t get hit with a fee for each purchase and a fee to transfer the money back to my US bank account to pay the bill.

If you pay the bill off every month anyway then why not simply use EPS? Your only loss is any points or whatever you might get on your credit card but since you don't mention that I guess it isn't an issue for you.
