Whats up with Singapore Social Visit Form?

So I was thinking of visiting Singapore but what's up with the Form 14 for social visits ( http://www.ica.gov.sg/downloads/serv_visitor/Form14.pdf ) ?

It asks for race, religion, and denomination {like Baptist, Evangelical, Mormon, Cult?}. Um, what do they do with such information and does it form a basis for being denied? I'd guess not but don't they have somewhere on their site that says what they do with the information & privacy?

I find the questions intrusive, but what do I know? The only time I got a travel visa was to go the US and that was before the Visa Waiver Program...and I was a toddler.
