About time, in a few months we will ask ourselves how we could ever survive a flight where the devices had to be off during take off and landing.
Just waiting for the day they allow phone calls, too, it will make flying with all those self-important idiots so much more fun.
Now the bloke next to me can watch his private porn video. And i will need to endure it as the flight attendant will be unable to stop him. 'Must not interfere with his 'rights', you know. '
Soon they allow smoking again. People don't read books anymore.
This is going to cause arguments... people thinking that because they can use them in 'airplane' mode in the US, they can use them a) not in 'airplane mode' and b) in any country they like.
I don't need to use an electronic device during take-off and landing... well, except a taser. There are times I would really like to be able to use one of them.
I flew Shandong Airlines in China yesterday, they dont allow phones on airplane made being turned on during the whole flight. That was cool.
Whether one really needs these electronic devices or not, this law has been flouted on many occasions. Ever watched all those youtube videos showing the plane taking off or landing? The only difference is that now people can fiddle with their doodads openly whereas before they did it discreetly...
