    Half??

This month Cathay are charging between $63,000 and $71,000, and if you want to travel on 26th June you will be relieved of $108,778 for the privilege.

Easily justifies a cheap flight to Bangkok and a night on the town, with the added benefit of a three hour shorter flight to London.

Others here can fill you in on flights from Taiwan, also saving a fortune.

Did that last month for HK$22,000 which is a fraction of what Cathay, Virgin etc charge direct from HK.

Very comfortable flat bed and good food/service.
But the main reason you chose them was the 'Hello Kitty' theme, right?

I was rather hoping to keep that secret.

You also have to consider the travel time of these non-direct routes. Some of these routes will only add a few hours to the total time (e.g. Turkish or the middle east carriers) but others could easily add up to an extra half day travel time. That might not be a concern for some, but for a businessman with a busy schedule it needs to be considered.

And so does Cathay. This year we are doing ex-BKK instead of ex-TPE as ex-TPE was not offering much of a discount.

Not too many good reviews on Finnair comfort.

Cathay from BKK seems a bit long winded. Fly to BKK, then back to HK, then on to London. HK$36,000 is still a substantial saving over HK-LHR direct.

So far for me EVA is the winner even as the price is raised towards the HK$25,000 area.

Any other recommendations direct from BKK to LHR?

Another Option Qatar Airways flies from Clark (Philippines) to Doha and on to London, transit time in Doha 45 minutes only.

Just checked business class pricing return

    Fare 1,999.00
    Taxes and Carrier-imposed Fees 812.78
    Price per person 2,811.78
    Passenger Count 1
    Total Fare 2,811.78

    Grand Total 2,811.78 USD

All you need to do is just 1000 for the HK to Clark flight ticket if ya book early with Tiger Airlines

Hang on a second, so you would do HKG- BKK (3 hours) -- some time in BKK --- BKK - HKK (3 hours) -- some time in HKG --- HKG - LDN (12 hours)

    and the same to return?

Whats the benefit to fly biz in this case over economy?

You spend so much more time travelling etc, I'd rather do 12 hours straight in eco an be done with it.
