That is one packed itinerary. Do you normally like to travel like this?

I would consider paring it down. You're giving yourself one day in an awful lot of very interesting places. That's enough time to check off one or two sites and move on. Might be better to spend more time in a smaller number of places. Part of the great thing about Spain is the leisurely pace of things. Your itinerary sounds line an episode of The Amazing Race.

+1 on the above thoughts. Looked like the trip from hell to me.

I will travel by train most of the time.
    19/9 afternoon arrive at Barcelona
    21/9 Barcelona to Valencia
    23/9 Valencia to Seville
    24/9 Seville Granada (Day trip)
    25/9 Seville to Madrid
26/9 Madrid to Segovia to Salamanca to Madrid (Day trip) will this be too rush and impossible? How can i modify?
27/9 Madrid to Lisbon by cross-border train
28/9 Lisbon to Evora (Day trip)
29/9 Lisbon to Lagos/Algarve (Day trip)
30/9 Lisbon to Barcelona (domestic flight)
Thank you very much in advance : )
    Cheers
Lots of time going to be spent on the tour bus.

Not much of a holiday... Sounds quite stressful in fact, having to be run by timetables the whole time you're away. Which would ruin any chance of spontaneity, to stay somewhere longer or being able to accept an invitation to break bread with a local ie hospitality... Which is the main thing I love most about holidays....To lose that aspect would suck, for me.

Our Greek holiday is going something like this:

    Last night in Bulgaria
Gap (probably going to catch a train, if there is no train perhaps a flight, if there is no flight we will hire a car)
    One night booked in Thesalloniki
Gap (probably going to catch a train or a bus or hire a car and go to Mt Olympus or Delphi.... it all depends how we feel)
One night booked in Athens the night before flight (because we need to be in Athens the night before an 8am flight!)
    Flight out

All the rest we will "play it by ear" when we get there.....

Train is way more expensive than bus.
    Sevilla is not so interesting,
    neither is Granada.
You better tell us what else you enjoy except ticking off places from the imaginary must do list

    Here is a suggestion
Barcelona 2 days Zaragoza 1 Madrid 5 Toledo day trip El Escorial 1 Avila 1
Salamanca insert here, then Portugal, look into Cascais n Braga

Bus is also much faster especially for the places aroun Madrid

Any suggestion which places I should cross out from the list?
Not sure. But in Lisbon, you should go on a sidecar tour... this is a fellow Geoexpatter who used to live in HK, and has now gone back to Portugal and now operates a tour. Check it out!

It doesn't matter what places you miss out. They will still be there for another visit. There is no such thing as a "better" place to visit... all places have aspects of interest and aspects that are less interesting and the beauty of it is that what is interesting to me may be exactly what you (or Morrison, who appears to dislike all the spanish cities I like) dislike.

Give yourself some freedom to just go and "be" there. Wander around the city. Peer into little alleys and walk around the local shops (supermarkets, normal shops, not tourist shops). Just soak it up. You can do that in pretty much any city, town or village. Spend a few days in each location and move on with the flexibility to stay longer if you like the place. Stop tying yourself to what the world thinks is a "tourist attraction" and go explore.
