    OK, China's executive Branch wasting money on rolling stock and HK executive wasting money of so many platforms from day 1. Still can't see how operating costs are being covered.

    MTR patronage figures show when you strip out October and look at just November, daily usage falls from 52.5K to 49.2K per day as predicted (not even reaching 2/3 of the reduced traffic predication despite more services, or 2/5 of what the project capital expense was predicated on). Figures will look a little better for the next few months with Xmas and CNY, but expect dismal figures between Easter and the summer.
