Apologies if my message didn't come across in the nicest way possible. We are a bunch of late 20's to early 30's folks, a good laugh yes, random sometimes even, but no, I wouldn't use the term "weirdos" at all. Sorry.

Yes the weekend should be fab - everyone's been overworked lately and been stressed out for obvious reasons. We might meet up with a couple of geo folks who are in BKK for different reasons, so wouldn't mind meeting up with you and your mate at all if you're interested too. We are extremely open to the idea of meeting new friends - if that ain't obvious already...

Let us know - the more the merrier, as is always the case.

Thanks guys once again for coming along - had a fab time and a much needed break. Can't wait till another weekend of eat-pool-spa-eat-shop-eat and absolutely nothing else

Glad you had fun - our outing to Macau with the visitors was good too

Gang, forgot to tell you that I got "profiled" at the Hong Kong customs (exactly as I predicted) when I was going through the little green channel?! It never happens when I'm my pasty self; but everytime after Thailand when I'm all tanned, I'll hear "excuse me, this way for a scan of your suitcase please".... Everytime! (Jim, bet you're pleased to know that you ain't the only one who "looks Thai"....!)

    Movingin07, good to hear.

They're not profiling people as Thai; ex-BKK they are looking for drugs or child porn (depending on whether you look like a hippy or a DOM respectively) I believe.

Oh . The only time I have ever been asked to put my bag through the x-ray machine on arrival in HKG is when I came back from a Thailand break. I hope they were looking for drugs.

What I had in mind was "profiling by skin colour". I happened to have turned crispy brown over the weekend...
